World Metrology Day

Metrology or "science of measurement" is the cornerstone of quality infrastructure and an important asset for trade facilitation. To cover all the needs of national metrology, 80% of Tunisia's needs for metrology are covered by the Tunisian laboratories, however, the country needs to develop metrology in different areas. For this purpose national conferences are held each year, on the occasion of the celebration of the World Metrology Day.

On this occasion, a World Café on «Metrology & Security» will be organized by the National Agency of Metrology (ANM) on Tuesday, May the 22, 2012 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Tunis, with the assistance of CNSTN, the ANCSEP of CTAA and the National Observatory for Road Safety.
The objective of this World Café is to explore the matters in question in order to identify related issues and make recommendations for the development of metrology in this field at national level.
